McIndoe Surgical Centre would like to reassure patients that we have noted the latest guidance from the MHRA about Poly Implant Prostheses (PIP).
Patients who know that they have PIP implants and are concerned should contact their surgeon for further advice.
If patients do not know the specific details of the implants that were used in their surgery and would like confirmation they should contact the hospital and we will endeavour to retrieve their records to confirm the type of implant used. Please be aware that records are normally kept for a period of seven years and we may not be able to provide the information for records dating beyond seven years.
