Losing one or both breasts can be difficult to come to terms with, however advances in techniques mean there are many options available for breast reconstruction after a mastectomy.

All our consultants are reconstructive plastic surgeons and most offer breast reconstruction.

Reconstructive breast surgery can be immediate or delayed.

The different techniques include taking tissue and muscle from the abdomen, back, buttocks or inner thighs. Each different procedure will give slightly different results and benefit different patient situations, and a full in-depth consultation is essential for your consultant surgeon to explain all the options.
